Middle Tennesse State University President James E. Walker awarded the title of Emeritus to Professor James S. Gibson.
The designation is made in recognition of his years of distinguished service to the University. The honor is given upon the recommendation of the department chair, dean, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
During the August 12, 2000 commencement ceremony, the President introduced and presented a special certificate to Professor Gibson and extended his warmest congratulationsons on the receipt of this special honor.
